Over the years, there's been much speculation regarding the validity of Led Zeppelin's appearance at Ecole Centrale's Piston 70 - despite a review in the French magazine Best in February 1970 and a publication of the programme in the book Hexagonal Experiences. The first clue was the photographs of the gig taken by Gilles Château, which were published on the Led Zeppelin website (www.LedZeppelin.com).

But now, more than 45 years later, there's no doubt that it really happened since this recording has been dug out! A 45 year old master tape that has never been circulated before. It must have a few glitches from time to time, but it's a miracle that it was not completely gone after all this time.

I first heard about the Châtenay-Malabry show through the website of Jean-Claude Bellamy (a former Centrale student who operated as a lighting engineer that night). Having done an engineer school myself,
I always remained curious to find a copy of the show, but quickly realized it was a controversial date. But I kept believing in it, and basically always asked about it when Led Zeppelin came into the discussion. I'm finally so glad that I managed to find it and was able to restore it. Nowadays, it'd likely have just been rubbishly ripped onto mp3 and shared onto a blog as if it was an evident download. A shame because such a new Led Zep find is a very big deal. I've spent many hours on the editing just for the sake of all the fans who hoped to hear it as well. -Original

Larry accidentally started Vertigo a song early and played its drum intro while the rest of the band launched into Out Of Control. During Pride, Bono acknowledged Ireland's vote in favour of marriage equality with a passionate and enthusiastic mid-song speech and altered one lyric to "they cannot take your gay pride". -Original (U2start.com)

Sisters Of Mercy - Floodland Demos [FLAC]

Sisters of Mercy
'Floodland Demos'
Studio Recordings
FLAC File Format

http://www.sisterswiki.org/Floodland_Demos_(1986)

This demos of the "Floodland" album are very stripped down and raw versions of songs you all know. The sound is closer to the Sisterhood than the finished album, and this document serves as the missing link between the two of them. Of special interest is the long instrumental song "Untitled", which is not the same as the "Untitled" on the Dominion EP, and contains some parts that would became the basis for "I Was Wrong",
featured in the Sisters next album "Vision Thing". -Original

1969-03-14 Stockholm & Upsala Sweden
Refer to 1969-03-16 Copenhagen.  The March 1969 Scandinavian Tour has been a constant source of confusion.  Research by Godwin and Lewis indicates that two shows were performed on March 14, an early evening performance in Stockholm, followed by an 11:00pm show in Upsala.  Press clippings in Godwin's "Press Reports" confirms these facts.  However, Luis Rey attributes the available soundboard and audience tapes to the Copenhagen performances two days later.  Until final confirmation is available (and we may never know for sure), ZeppelinArt will house the artwork under March 16 Copenhagen.  -Original
