jswetch noted:
This was a boot on the “Big Daddy” label. It’s a strange hodge podge of really good quality soundboard live material from this Beck Group and alternate studio versions from the Rough and Ready sessions. To me, that’s the real draw of this. The two albums that Beck did with this band are my all-time favorite material from him, and this is a great chance to hear some different versions of just about all of the songs from the Rough and Ready release, plus two versions of an unreleased track called July 13th. 07. Move It On Over
08. Who Do You Love
09. Johnny Be Good

The sound quality of this boot is pristine, crystal-clear, and well-balanced (instruments vs vocals). Taken from a French FM radio broadcast, all the DJ talk and station jungles are cut out, leaving nothing bu the good stuff. Lonesome George Thorogood & the Destroyers put in a kick-ass performance, and the crowd goes wild. I’ve got many GT boots in my collection, and I think that only one better than this would be GT @ the Cellar Door in Washington DC on 2.19.1979. This is a great recording and I highly recommend it! -Original

Dave noted in April 2015:
Here’s something special I recently was given; the great Dire Straits recorded at the Palladium in NY from the fall of 1979. I knew of a common boot of this show but had never heard it so with the help of our resident knopflerphile; Enlight, he was able to get me a copy of that boot to compare. I was afraid the recording I had was the same as the one used for that. To my delight, my new version of this sounds worlds better. Anyway, the quality is quite good for a 1979 audience recording. I know it comes from a 1st gen copy and although I can’t say for sure, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was recorded from the front of the loge or balcony. I saw them this same week at the Calderone Concert Hall but have never seen a tape of that. I’m sure the sets were about the same. -Original

The Trouser Press wrote:
Belinda Carlisle (vocals), Jane Wiedlin (guitar, vocals), Gina Schock (drums), Kathy Valentine (bass) and Charlotte Caffey (guitar) earned their historical bragging rights as the victorious pioneer women of American new wave, but their success ultimately meant more to those who followed in their wake than it did to the quality level of rock ‘n’ roll in the early ’80s. Beyond the certified hits (Our Lips Are Sealed, We Got The Beat, Vacation, Head Over Heels and Turn To You, which are great enough to stand behind), This Town, Lust To Love, How Much More and maybe Skidmarks On My Heart are all the Go-Go’s anyone needs to remember. Harsh words indeed… but the tunes remain sweetly enjoyable. Recorded just as the band was making it big… -Original

In 1975, the Bee Gees released their 13th album (11th worldwide), Main Course, and by 1977, Saturday Night Fever was ruling the world. Here on Soundstage, the brothers Gibb were so affable and chatty even. Just bear in mind that soundboard Bee Gees live (albeit from a TV broadcast) are hard to come by. -Original

KISS Digital Booklets

KISS Digital Booklets

This is the delicious site I found the digital booklet for those 2004 concerts.
Someone made a digital booklet for each KISS album. Well, it may be
missing one or two albums but nevertheless the collection is very well done.
Just click on the album's cover to view each booklet. And if you would like
to download that album's booklet just right click on the album cover and
save as. Each album's digital booklet is in PDF format.
I've downloaded each one and can say.... "Very Tasty Indeed!"

The aftershow here is very good, and it's refreshing to hear him pulling out 'Paisley Park', 'Beautiful strange', 'Calhoun square' and 'Dolphin' after ignoring them for so long. The soundcheck is not as interesting, a few good performances, a bit of yapping by Prince and Billy Sparks, but it doesn't leave much of an impression. This is worth getting for the aftershow though. -Original

On March 18th, Manchester rock band James released their 14th studio album, Girl At The End Of The World. The new album was close but just couldn’t knock Adele’s 25 off the No. 1 spot in the UK. According to the NME, a No. 1 would have marked the band’s return to the top of the charts after an 18-year absence, though they can take some consolation from being announced as the act that will open Glastonbury Festival in 2016. -Original
