- While the show scheduled for this date was cancelled, the band performed the show's closing number/sequence (just "Black Diamond") for the press. "A concert scheduled for Thursday was cancelled earlier in the week; the official word for the cancellation was that drummer Peter Criss needed an extra day to heal a cut hand. Observers speculate the concert was canceled because only 8,000 tickets had been sold for the two shows in the 10,000 capacity arena. Center officials said Wednesday there were approximately 1,000 tickets left for Friday" (Lakeland Ledger, 6/15/79).
- A recording from the "Dynasty" tour rehearsals is often attributed to this date, but was more likely made during earlier rehearsals for the tour due to the nature of Paul's raps; They're obviously not being directed towards any "audience."
- It's rather ominous, considering what would later occur, to hear Paul telling Peter to pick up the beat and hear him obviously having issues.
- Production costs for the tour were a staggering $2.2 million in a music industry that was suffering a major touring and sales slump.
- Staging, lighting, sound, rigging, and transport were handled by Philadelphia based McManus Enterprises.

There are rumours that the first gen tape comes right off Jimmy Page's cassettes. Underrated intense

played with two fractured ribs. The transfer has some very light problems in 'The Song Remains The

Metallica [1986.09.26] Cliff's Last Show

Metallica
'Cliff's Last Show'
Stockholm, Sweden
September 26th, 1986

Excellent Audience Recording
Encoded: 256 Kbps MP3

Track List: (Artwork Included)
01 - Ecstasy of Gold (1:20)
02 - Battery (4:26)
03 - Master of Puppets (7:24)

11 - Seek And Destroy (6:30)
12 - Creeping Death (6:40)
13 - The Four Horsemen (5:16)
14 - Kirk Hammett's Guitar Solo (3:19)
15 - Am I Evil (3:25)
16 - Damage Inc. (4:52)
17 - Blitzkrieg (4:04)

This has to be the best sounding source from this dreadful gig that became a final chapter to the greatest era in Metallica's history. Sourced from double vinyl bootleg. Gig itself is a total killer, and James back for the first time on rhythm guitar since his skateboard accident. Cliff's last bass solo is simply amazing, I wonder what kind of king size joint he has smoked before that one! A true piece of metal history right here. -Original
Cliff Burton's last show - Luckily, this is the same show James Hetfield returned to playing guitar (I guess he had an injury and was only singing for a while) so we get one last set with the whole band in full. (info by cooperaa - Taken from rateyourmusic.com) .

What happened to Cliff? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cliff_Burton)
During the European leg of the Damage Inc. tour in support of Master of Puppets, the band complained that the sleeping cubicles on their tour bus were unsatisfactory and uncomfortable. To decide who received pick of the bunks, Kirk Hammett and Burton drew cards. On the evening of September 26, 1986, Burton won the game with an Ace of Spades, thereby getting the first choice of bunk and pointed at Hammett and exclaimed "I want your bunk!" Hammett replied "Fine, take my bunk, I'll sleep up front, it's probably better up there anyway". Burton was sleeping shortly before 7 am on September 27 when, according to the driver, the bus skidded off the road (the E4, 12 miles north of Ljungby), and flipped onto the grass in Ljungby Municipality, near Dörarp in rural southern Sweden. Burton was thrown through the window of the bus, which fell on top of him. They tried to save him and managed to lift the bus up a little using a crane. But, before they could retrieve him, the weight of the bus became too much and the bus slipped off the crane and landed on the ground again.

Pink Floyd - Vegetable Man + Scream Thy Last Scream [FLAC]

Did you notice  the band is 'The Pink Floyd';
not just 'Pink Floyd' ? -Yup

Pink Floyd
'Vegetable Man / Scream Thy Last Scream'
(Vinyl rip FLAC)
From rare acetate
Recorded on August 9th, 1967

http://www.discogs.com/Pink-Floyd-The-Scream-Thy-Last-Scream-Vegetable-Man/release/2842107

Vegetable Man
"Guitar Can be heard a little better"
"More Echo on Vocals towards the ending of the song'

Scream Thy Last Scream
"Nick Mason or Syd Barrett could be heard coughing at 1:29 into the track"
"There is an extremely disturbing low-toned cry/moan at 4:13 in the track"

Notes by the uploader:
"A while ago, I met a guy name Saq who lives in Los Angeles who had a very nice record in his possession. Saq had, what I believe to be the only known Acetate copy of "Vegetable Man" and "Scream Thy Last Scream" from 1967. I tried desperately to obtain it from him but he informed me that he would only let it go for $10,000 US Dollars (CASH!!!)
I tried to stay in communications with him for more than a year and begged him to at least have the tracks recorded. He agreed to do me the favor, and sent the Acetate to a professional studio in San Francisco to have the tracks recorded properly.
After months of desperately waiting, he finally received his Acetate back along with the digital tracks. Thankfully, the same day he picked up his record was the same day he sent me the magical tracks.
After more than a year of waiting, I finally got the tracks and now want to share them with all of you. We are the real Syd Barrett crazies and we all deserve to listen to his art. There should be no discovery made that ends up back in the vaults.

There a notes from my friend and collector, Giuliano Navarro. So, this is absolute unheard new mix of "Scream". Thank you very much for sharing this with all fans, Giuliano! -Original

Although chronologically second to be performed, this was the first Mexico City concert announced,
on 21 September 2010. First performance of Stay since 24 September 2009; first performance of
Desire since 19 December 2010 (and only its second since 31 July 2009). Second performance of
Out Of Control on the 360° Tour. First show to feature at least two songs from the Zooropa album
since 10 December 1993 (when five were played). -U2start

About the recording: It's a perfect recording, 99% without any interference and it's one of our
best recordings made to date. It's very enjoyable from the beginning to the end. This is a single feed, we don't have time to mix it with other feeds at this moment.

About the show: This 2nd night in Mexico was really awesome, if the 1st night was "just" a warm
up, this one overcome by far the 1st night. The band was really in a great mood and excited to
play in Mexico once again. The crowd was AMAZING!!
Bono sings a bit of two Frank Sinatra songs during 'Until the End of the World' -- Sinatra died
13 years ago today. Just like the prior show, a fan comes on stage to read a poem by the ancient
Mexican poet Nezahualcoyotl before the band plays Beautiful Day. With both Zooropa and Stay being
played tonight, it's the first show since Dec. 10, 1993 to have multiple songs from the Zooropa
album in the setlist. Even the Mexican President Felipe Calderon went to the show. -Original

About the show: One of the best shows that we saw in Europe, A MUST!! Listen to the version of
"Bad" in this show, a really special one! This is a single feed.
About the recording: It's a perfect recording, without any interference (was taped from the seats),
And it's one of the best recordings we have to upload. -Original

For the first time, U2 play two stadium gigs in Belgium on the one tour. Rain falls during the concert, at times quite heavily. Angel Of Harlem is performed for the first time since 25 July 2009; Bad is performed for the first time since 12 September 2009. Most of the soundcheck is essentially inaudible outside the venue, so the band (intentionally or otherwise) keep a lid on the setlist surprises. The first snippet of Singing In The Rain is not actually in Until The End Of The World, but after the song ends. Bono sings the snippet and then gives his usual intro speech before I Still Haven't Found. -U2start
